Alex is Student Representative on NSU EXCO (2024/26). He is a third-year Human Nutrition student at Makerere University with a passion for combating non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through improved nutrition.
He is the founder and Interim President of the Nutrition and Dietetics Students’ Society of Uganda (NADDSU), which he established in April 2024. As Chairperson of the Makerere University Human Nutrition Students Association (MUHUNSA), he has led several impactful initiatives, including organizing community outreaches such as medical camps, nutrition clinics, mentorship talks, online webinars, and also an agreement was reached with Kenya Nutrition and Dietetics Students Association (KENDSA) in June 2024 for a partnership in future projects.
Participated in the Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement Nutrition Outreach in January 2024 providing nutrition support in emergency situations when he was still the Deputy Chairperson of MUHUNSA (2023/24). He was also the Chief Editor of the NutriConnect Newsletter, where he issued the inaugural issue of its first volume.
Treasurer of Greater Masaka Students’ Association (2024/25), and a dedicated Class Representative for three consecutive terms (2022/23, 2023/24, and 2024/25).
His dedication to leadership and advocacy reflects his drive to create meaningful change in his community and beyond.
